For over seven decades thousands of young Texans have participated in these contests, writing the history of Texas from the perspective of their home communities. Many of these writings have been recorded through publication in the Texas Historian journal.
Papers submitted for competition must be researched and developed during the current contest year that begins following the Annual Meeting each Spring. Revising or reusing an entry from a previous year (whether your own or another student’s) will result in disqualification.
